SoCKSarGen USA held its first convention at Hilton Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey on August 11, 2018, with delegates from the Philippines and at least six states in the US attending.

Jersey City and Philippine City Sign "Sister Cities" Pact—Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop and General Santos City Mayor Ronnel Rivera signed a twin-sister agreement on August 14, 2018.
